Former World No. 5 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga recently shared glimpses of his post-retirement life. The Frenchman spent time with his son, Sugar, by teaching him how to play tennis.

Tsonga retired from the sport last year following the 2022 French Open. The former Australian Open finalist was plagued by various injuries in the latter stages of his career, forcing him to quit the sport.

The Olympic medal winner, however, seems to have found a new way to continue nurturing his passion for the game. Tsonga turned to social media to post pictures of himself teaching tennis to his five-year-old son Sugar. The four-time Grand Slam semifinalist is seen practicing with Sugar on the clay court.

"Family & 🎾 vibes," Jo-Wilfried Tsonga captioned his post.

The veteran further added a short video to his Instagram story of the duo practicing on court.

Tsonga and his girlfriend, Noura El Shwekh, welcomed their first child, Sugar, on March 17, 2017. In 2018, after nearly four years of dating, Tsonga married El Shwekh.

The Frenchman won his maiden Grand Slam match at the 2007 Wimbledon where he reached the pre-quarterfinals. The same year, at the US Open, Tsonga lost to Rafael Nadal in the third round of the New York Major.

Tsonga's best Grand Slam result came in the 2008 Australian Open. Ranked 38 ahead of the tournament, he beat three top-10 players (Nadal, Richard Gasquet and Andy Murray) en route to the final. However, his Grand Slam dream was crushed by Djokovic in the summit clash.

In 2010, at the Australian Open, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga reached the semifinals of the Major, only to be beaten by Roger Federer. However, the Frenchman caused one of the upsets of the campaign by beating Djokovic in the quarterfinals. His best Wimbledon result came in 2011 when he reached the last four of the Major. En route to the final, Tsonga showed exits to David Ferrer and Federer, among others.
