British tennis player Liam Broady recently spoke about Novak Djokovic's hamstring injury and whether it could have a long-term effect on him. This comes after Tennis Australia CEO Craig Tiley revealed that Djokovic's left hamstring tear was 3cm wide.

Tiley's revelation shocked everyone, considering how dominant Djokovic's title run at the Australian Open was. It also caught the attention of Broady, who decided to ask netizens for their thoughts on the news.

"Thoughts everyone?" Broady reacted to the news.

Anne-Marie Batson, a sports presenter, wondered if the tear meant long-term damage.

"Makes you wonder if he’ll suffer long term damage. A 3cm tear is no joke."

Broady replied that he believes it would affect the 22-time Grand Slam champion's game in the long run. Djokovic went on to play seven matches with the affected hamstring.

Broady even compared the Serb's injury to Rafael Nadal's 7mm abdominal tear at last year's Wimbledon. Nadal made it to the semifinals after defeating Taylor Fritz in an epic five-set quarterfinal match, but pulled out of the tournament before he was due to play Nick Kyrgios.

Broady, though a little unsure, stated that since the abdominal tear, Nadal's serve has not been the way it was before.

"That’s true with a tear like that and playing on it for seven matches it would affect him long term I would think. Rafas Ab tear at Wimbledon I feel like he still might not be serving as well as he was before that?"

Meanwhile, tennis journalist Mike Dikson questioned Tiley as a source and claimed that he sided with Djokovic and allowed him to play all night sessions. However, many believe this claim to be false given that Djokovic has expressly stated his displeasure over late-night matches.

British rugby player Anthony Watson also joined the conversation by stating that there was no chance the 3cm hamstring tear would have a long-term effect. However, he admitted that he had nothing to base this claim on.

"No chance it has long term impact! (I’m not a qualified medic so I have nothing to base this on)"

During the final interview at the Australian Open men's championship photocall, Novak Djokovic shared some sound life advice with a young interviewer.

A video shared by the ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) showed the World No. 1 with a young boy, enganged in deep conversation. Djokovic can be heard encouraging the boy to always pursue his dreams and not let anyone tell him his imagination is not good enough.

"Always believe in your dreams, I think that is very important," the 35-year-old said. "Whatever you imagine and you are at that age when your imagination is very strong so don't let anybody tell you that your imagination is not good, it is good."
"Always keep that dream going and nurture it," he concluded.

Djokovic also replied to the video shared by ATP with emojis, and tagged his foundation.
