The Open 13 Provence in Marseille is one of three tournaments taking place on the ATP tour this week. It will be held from February 20-26, 2023.
Hubert Hurkacz replaced Holger Rune as the top seed following the teenager's withdrawal due to an injury. Jannik Sinner follows him as the second seed, with Alex de Minaur and Grigor Dimitrov being seeded third and fourth, respectively.
Three-time Grand Slam champion Stan Wawrinka is another player to keep an eye on. Andrey Rublev chose not to defend his title here and instead opted to compete in the Qatar Open.

What is the Open 13 Provence?
The tournament debuted on the ATP tour back in 1993. It was the brainchild of Jean-Francois Caujolle, a former tennis player himself. He still serves as the tournament director.
From its inception in 1993 until 1997, the Open 13 Provence was part of the ATP World Series. The following year, it was grouped with the ATP International Series of tournaments until 2008.
Since 2009, it has been classified as an ATP 250 tournament. It is played on indoor hardcourts and features a 28-player draw. Roger Federer, Andy Murray and Boris Becker are some of the most notable former champions here.

The Open 13 Provence will be held at the Palais des Sports de Marseille in Marseille, France.
Players
Hubert Hurkacz and Grigor Dimitrov, the first and third seeds, lead the top half of the draw and have each received a first-round bye.The former could be up against Arthur Rinderknech in the second round, while the latter is likely to face Elias Ymer.
Alexander Bublik will take on Filip Krajinovic in his opener. David Goffin and Marc-Andrea Huesler are the other players lurking in this half of the draw. Jannik Sinner and Alex de Minaur headline the bottom half of the draw. Both have received a first-round bye as well.
Sinner could set up a rematch with Arthur Fils in the second round, having defeated him just a couple of weeks ago. Veteran Richard Gasquet will begin his campaign against a qualifier, while Stan Wawrinka was drawn against Zizou Bergs.

Schedule
The tournament begins on Monday, February 20, with first-round matches. The first couple of rounds will go on until Thursday. The quarterfinals and semifinals will take place on Friday and Saturday, respectively.
