Martina Navratilova recently voiced her support for Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk, who revealed that he was tricked into signing documents for administering his son's puberty blockers. Musk also talked about how his son threatened to commit suicide if he was not offered gender-affirming care.
The billionaire appeared on The Daily Wire for an interview with Dr. Jordan Peterson and talked about the 'woke mind virus' killing his son Xavier, who is now called Vivian Jenna Wilson.
"I was essentially tricked into signing documents for one of my older boys. This was really before I had any understanding of what was going on, and we had COVID going on, so there was a lot of confusion and I was told (Musk's child) might commit suicide. I was tricked into doing this. I lost my son, essentially. They call it 'deadnaming' for a reason. The reason they call it ‘deadnaming’ is because your son is dead. I vowed to destroy the woke mind virus after that. And we’re making some progress," Musk said in the video.
Musk later revealed on X (formerly Twitter) that his child was autistic and gay.
Graham Linehan, an Irish writer, responded to this revelation by writing,
"This is a big moment. Elon saying what many of us have been shouting about for years. The trans movement targets gay and autistic kids."
Martina Navratilova, who herself has spoken about issues regarding transwomen being allowed into women's sports, replied to Linehan's tweet and backing Musk's thoughts.
"On this Elon is right," Martina Navratilova wrote.
Martina Navratilova: "I'm all for trans rights on a civil level"

Martina Navratilova has made her stance clear on numerous occasions through social media, disagreeing with allowing trans women to compete in women's categories.
Recently, the 18-time Grand Slam champion appeared in an episode of 'On with Kara Swisher' podcast and clarified that she was not against trans people's civil rights, adding that she wanted to level the playing field in women's sports.
"I'm all for trans rights on a civil level, a hundred percent. And this is not against trans athletes. This is against male bodies competing as women if they identify as women. We are for women athletes to compete on as level a playing field as possible, which means the males who now identify as women, should compete in a male category and women who identify as men but don't take testosterone can compete as women," she said.
Martina Navratilova has maintained an active profile on social media, regularly interacts with fans and shares her opinions on various topics, including politics and sports.
