Anna Kalinskaya and Katie Boulter recently looked back at their 2024 US Open campaign, where they played women's doubles together. This was the first tournament for both women as doubles partners.
Kalinskaya is currently ranked World No. 97 in WTA doubles ranking. Meanwhile, Katie Boulter is ranked outside the top 250 in doubles. They teamed to compete in the women's doubles category at the 2024 US Open and began their campaign against Wang Xinyu and Zheng Saisai. Kalinskaya-Boulter displayed grit to overcome a one-set deficit and registered a 2-6, 7-5, 6-2 win.
In the second round, the Russian and British duo came up against eighth seeds Demi Schuurs and Luisa Stefani. Kalinskaya and Boulter did well to push their experienced doubles opponents to tiebreakers but ultimately came up short 7-6 (8), 7-6 (5). While their doubles campaign in New York was shortlived, Kalinskaya and Boulter seemingly enjoyed their time on the court.
Anna Kalinskaya recently posted pictures from her US Open campaign on Instagram and also posted an image from one of the doubles matches. The 25-year-old was thankful for the experience at the tournament and vowed to perform better next year.
"NYC 🍎 thank you for the experience 🤓 next time I come back stronger," she captioned the post.
Katie Boulter reacted to the post positively and recalled all the laughs they shared on the court.
"Never laughed so much in my life 😂," Boulter commented.
Boulter and Kalinskaya also played singles at the US Open. Kalinskaya was the 15th seed and defeated Lauren Davis and Anna Bondar before losing to 22nd seed Beatriz Haddad Maia in the third round.
Boulter, the 31st seed, defeated Aliaksandra Sasnovich in her opening round but lost to Jessica Bouzas Maneiro in the second round.
