Nick Kyrgios recently provided further insights into his overall physical condition and, crucially, the state of his wrist to fans. The 29-year-old has not played since the Stuttgart Open last year.

The Australian has been absent from the sport for nearly 21 months, having played only one match since 2022 due to a persistent knee injury. Subsequently, Kyrgios withdrew from the Australian Open to undergo arthroscopic surgery on his left knee.

The 29-year-old returned to the Stuttgart Open in June 2023 but lost to China's Yibing Wu. Confirmed to participate in the Wimbledon Championships, he unexpectedly pulled out of the tournament because of a torn ligament in his wrist.

Recently, the former finalist at the Major engaged with fans on Instagram, answering their questions playfully in his stories. When a user was curious to know about Kyrgios' physique amidst the recovery, the 29-year-old had a tongue-in-cheek message directed at the people he found giving him fitness advice on social media as he recovers.

"Good bro! All these unqualified people with zero achievements and skill online giving their 2 sense on social media about gym and how to live are really inspiring me," Kyrgios said.

A user asked the 29-year-old about his best friend in the next slide. Kyrgios shared an image of himself and writes:

"This dude. Gone through the most with him, argued the most with him, achieved the most with him, he has held me accountable the most. My hardest critic and my biggest fan. This dude is the pain in the a**, but the reason I'm successful and able to do whatever the **** I wanna do."

"It's going okay! I have to be very patient. But everyday improving my fitness and strength."

"I’m contemplating retirement and won’t be available for the Paris Olympics," the Aussie wrote for the Sydney Morning Herald.
