Lovebirds Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa recently revisited their first conversation. Tsitsipas and Badosa made their relationship official in June 2023. They broke up last year, but it was a brief separation, as the Greek and the Spaniard later got back together and rekindled their romance.
Speaking to Prakash Amritraj on Tennis Channel's 'Prakash in Primetime' interview series, Tsitsipas recalled how he first felt attracted to Badosa at the 2023 Italian Open.
"Paula was playing in Rome. I was in the players' lounge watching her match and I remember thinking first time, "Wow! How beautiful she looks on the court."," he said.
Stefanos Tsitsipas went on to talk about Paula Badosa's rapid reply to his text message.
"I saw that opportunity and made a deal with myself that if she ends up winning the match, I will send her a text. So that was the initial first step. Paula replied literally three seconds later," the Greek added.
The Spaniard, who was also present alongside Tsitsipas for the interview, disclosed her "dilemma" upon seeing the Greek's text.
"Bad move no? I had a dilemma there. I didn't know what to do. He was a little bit also my crush, "You know what? I'll just reply fast and let's see how it goes."," Badosa said.
The candid interview took place in Paris, where both Tsitsipas and Badosa were recently in action at the 2025 French Open.
Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa both endured disappointing exits from French Open following early losses

Stefanos Tsitsipas participated in both the men's singles and doubles categories at the 2025 French Open. Unfortunately for the former ATP No. 3 and two-time Major finalist, his singles campaign collapsed with a shocking second-round loss to qualifier Matteo Gigante. In the aftermath of the defeat, the Greek harshly criticized himself, saying:
"I expected bigger things from myself these two weeks. I seemed to be playing immature sometimes during the match."
In doubles, Tsitsipas and brother Petros were eliminated after a first-round loss to John-Patrick Smith and Fernando Romboli.
Meanwhile, Paula Badosa registered two comeback victories in the first two rounds of women's singles action at the clay Major, ousting Naomi Osaka and Elena-Gabriela Ruse from the event. However, Daria Kasatkina denied the former WTA No. 2 a hat-trick of comeback wins in the third round.
Soon after their respective campaigns at Roland Garros ended, the lovebirds spent time at Disneyland Paris.
