Coco Gauff shared an adorable moment with her grandfather, Eddie 'Red' Odom, during Thanksgiving. The American tennis player recently concluded her 2024 season after competing at the WTA Finals.

Gauff wrapped up her season with a bang as she won the WTA Finals tournament on November 3. She trounced Qinwen Zheng 3-6, 6-4, 7-6(2) to grab the title. She delivered dominant performances throughout the tournament by besting several top-notch players like Jessica Pegula, Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka.

Gauff is currently in her off-season and is enjoying her time with her family. She recently shared a picture of her grandfather, whose picture she rarely shares on social media. She uploaded a selfie with him and added the caption:

Along with her grandfather's picture, Gauff also shared a bunch of other pictures that showcased her preparations for Thanksgiving.

Coco Gauff's grandfather was a baseball fan, and he founded the Delray Beach American Little League, which helped promote baseball among black young kids, along with his wife, Yvonne.

Coco Gauff shared a heartfelt birthday wish for her grandfather on October 11, 2024, where he was seen wearing a baseball cap and a blue jacket and posed adorably with Gauff. Wishing him a happy birthday, the tennis player wrote:

"Happy birthday grandad. Lol he doesn't have Instagram but any reason to share this picture imma do it," wrote Gauff.

Not just Gauff, her mother, Candi, also uploaded a picture on Instagram wishing Odom a happy birthday, which showcased him wearing a black and red cap and a red-colored t-shirt. The post's caption read:

"Happy birthday dad!! I love you!"

Coco Gauff played stellar matches this year, delivering victorious performances in multiple tournaments. Along with the WTA Finals, she also won the China Open, where she beat Clara Burel, Katie Boulter, Naomi Osaka, Yuliia Starodubtseva and Paula Badosa to reach the final of the tournament. In the summit clash, she beat Karolina Muchova 6-1, 6-3 to win the title.

This year she also won the women's doubles title at the French Open, pairing up with Katerina Siniakova to beat Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini 7-6(5), 6-3 in the final. Along with this, she also reached the semifinals of the Wuhan Open where she lost to Aryna Sabalenka in three sets.
