Rafael Nadal's foundation recently announced that it is releasing brand new postcard stamps featuring the 22-time Major winner's face. The proceeds from the stamp collection, which is being branded as the “Charitable Philatelic Pack", will go toward the Spaniard's charities in Spain and India.

The stamp collection was created in collaboration with Correos, one of the largest postal services in the world.

Rafael Nadal's wife and project director, Maria Francesco Perello, spoke highly of the initiative during a conference held at Coreeos' headquarters.

"This pack is not just a collection of stamps and postcards, it is an opportunity for everyone who shares our vision to join us in the cause of changing lives through sport. Each pack is a small gesture of support that will allow us to expand our impact in society," he said.
"Thank you again to the entire Correos team and its president Juan Manuel Serrano for giving us this magnificent opportunity and sealing such a special alliance. Thank you so much," he added.

Nadal, meanwhile, has been a philanthropist for a long time now. He started his charity, "Fundación Rafa Nadal," in 2007 in his hometown of Mallorca.

The Spaniard soon set up subsidiary facilities in not only Spain but all across the globe in a bid to support and develop the youth through sports and education.

In 2010, it came up with a side project named NETS (Nadal Educational Tennis School) in Anantapur, India. The center serves hundreds of children from the most vulnerable areas of southern India every year, with the main objective of strengthening their social cohesion and integration.

Currently, there are three foundation centers in Spain (Palma, Valencia, and Madrid) and one in India, which are eligible for donation based on the purchase of the custom-made stamps online.

Rafael Nadal, meanwhile, is known as much for his humble personality off the court as he is for his on-court intensity. Time after time, the Spaniard has given back to the community, even if it meant that he had to do lowly tasks.

In October 2018, when Mallorca was hit by flash floods, the Spaniard opened his tennis academy center to the victims who were displaced from their homes.

The Spaniard even worked personally with some of his friends to help the affected towns by lending a hand in the clean-up operations.

Later, he donated €1 million to rebuild Sant Llorenç des Cardassar, the worst-affected town in the Balearic Islands. He also organized various other charitable events to raise money for the flood victims.

The 22-time Major winner's foundation also previously collaborated with the Vicente Ferrer Foundation to distribute food packages among children in Anantapur during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Apart from the above initiatives, he has also supported other charities like City Harvest, the Elton John AIDS Foundation, the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, and the Small Steps Project in the past.
