Carlos Alcaraz hilariously detailed how Rafael Nadal would tell him where to stand during their doubles matches. The blockbuster duo is currently representing their nation Spain at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The prestigious event is being held at the clay court in Roland Garros.
Both Nadal and Alcaraz had expressed their desires to play doubles with each other at the Olympics but the former wasn't sure whether he would be able to play, due to his injury concerns. After a poor clay swing, the Spaniard decided to skip the grass season to focus on the Olympics.
It was then announced that the highly anticipated duo would team up for the Paris Games, and the news sent storms across the tennis fraternity. The Spanish duo had a tough test in the opening round against the sixth seed Maximo Gonzales and Andres Molteni but they saw off the Argentines 7-6(4), 6-4.
In the second round, they competed against Netherlands' Tallon Griekspoor and Wesley Koolhof and after a couple of topsy-turvy sets, the Spanish duo prevailed in a grueling three-setter tie-breaker 6-4, (2)6-7, 10-2 to reach the quarterfinals.
While talking to reports after the win, Carlos Alcaraz hilariously revealed that whenever he had an issue with his court placement, Rafael Nadal would ask him where he was going and tell him where to stand.
"Sometimes when I didn't know where to go Rafa told me: "but where are you going? Go to your place!"

Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz's dream run at the 2024 Paris Olympics will continue in the quarterfinals against Team USA's Rajeev Ram and Austin Krajicek.
The American duo have been in fine form so far. They kicked off their campaign with a 6-2, 6-3 win against the Australian duo of Alex de Mianur and Alexei Popyrin. They followed it up by knocking out Thiago Seyboth Wild and Thiago Monteiro 6-4, 7-6(3).
Nadal and Alcaraz also competed in singles at the Olympics. Carlos Alcaraz will play Roman Safiullin next. The two have only played once with the Russian winning the lone match
