American tennis player Sebastian Korda recently took over the Wilson Tennis team's social media to answer some fan questions.
Korda, who unfortunately missed out on playing in the Californian desert, is now setting his sights on the upcoming clay-court season as he makes his comeback on the tour following an injury.
During a recent photoshoot with Wilson Racquet, the 22-year old graciously took the time to answer some fan questions. One of the questions posed to him was regarding who he contacts after his matches.
Korda responded that he always calls his parents first. He also gave a shoutout to his sponsor, Motorola, who also shared the video on their social media page.
"The first person I usually call after my match are both my parents. Shoutout Motorola," Korda said.
Sebastian Korda remembers legendary coach Nick Bollettieri
Sebastian Korda recently paid tribute to the late Nick Bollettieri. As a graduate of the renowned IMG Academy, which was founded by Bollettieri, Korda has deep respect and admiration for the legendary coach.
The 22-year old has been out of the tour since January due to a wrist injury that he sustained during the Australian Open earlier this year. Despite the setback, Korda managed to reach the final of the Adelaide 1 tournament and even made it to his first Grand Slam quarterfinals at the Melbourne Major, where he defeated Daniil Medvedev in the third round.
During this challenging time, Korda found inspiration in a quote from the renowned tennis coach, Bollettieri.
"Believe in yourself and never, never doubt your ability to do it," read a quote from Bollettieri, which Korda spotted on a giant IMG Academy screen.
The 22-year-old shared the same on his social media along with a red heart emoji as a tribute to Bollettieri.
Bollettieri died at the age of 91 in December last year after a long battle with health concerns. Bollettieri was a pioneer in the sport, having introduced the concept of a tennis boarding school through the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy, which later became the renowned IMG Academy.
He helped develop a number of top players, including Andre Agassi, Jim Courier, Maria Sharapova, the Williams sisters and others.
