Former US Open quarterfinalist Shelby Rogers has taken her relationship to the next level by getting engaged to her boyfriend John Slavik.

Slavik is an American ice hockey professional. The duo have been together since 2020, when they first met on a blind date set up by their mutual friends. Since then, their relationship has blossomed.

Both athletes have kept their relationship a bit private, as evident by the few pictures they have posted together on their social media profiles.

On April 1, the former World No. 30 posted a few pictures of her partner proposing to her, on social media. Rogers, who wore a polka-dot dress for the special day, was elated to say "yes" to Slavik.

"My forever love," Shelby Rogers wrote on social media.

The World No. 42 later also clarified that the earlier post was not an April Fool's prank.

"*Disclaimer- definitely not an April Fool’s joke," - Rogers wrote in her post.
