Taylor Fritz's girlfriend, Morgan Riddle, has added her voice to those who disapprove of Donald Trump's on-and-off-again tariffs. The US President announced sweeping tariffs on nearly all of the US's trading partners in April, calling the policy "Liberation Day." Since then, his administration has walked back some of the tariffs as it attempted to negotiate new trade deals worldwide.
Riddle is an online influencer and fashion icon who has a vested interest in the US fashion industry. Donald Trump's tariffs have adversely affected textile imports, causing the United States Fashion Industry Association (USFIA) to state that it was "deeply disappointed" with the government's stance, per ectotextile.com.
Morgan Riddle used her TikTok account to ask her 590,000 followers to raise awareness of the issue and to become politically active. She stated:
"@influencers who continue to stay silent on politics - but we MUST raise awareness on tariffs for imported polyester!!!"
Morgan Riddle and World No. 7 Taylor Fritz connected on the dating app Raya three years ago. Since then, the couple has become highly visible and influential on the ATP tour. Riddle uses her platform to give glamor tips, fashion news, and posts about life on the tour.
Taylor Fritz's girlfriend, Morgan Riddle, plays a major part in the American's tennis career

Taylor Fritz and Morgan Riddle appeared together in the Netflix series, Break Point, which followed players on tour. As a result of the series, the New York Times declared that Riddle was "the most famous woman in men's tennis".
Fritz had his most successful year on court in 2024, and told CNN that his girlfriend was an integral part of that success:
“As someone who had nothing to do with tennis before, in Morgan’s case, she’s done an amazing job over the years just kind of understanding. She gets it, and she also understands what it takes each week and throughout the year to help me play my best tennis and feel my best. I think that’s a big thing – I just kind of have someone helping me at all times.”
Fritz's 2025 has been less successful so far. After a series of disappointing losses, he's dropped from No. 4 in the world to No. 7. One semifinal and two quarterfinals this year represent a poor return given the American's quality. He was knocked out of the French Open last week in the first round.
