Taylor Fritz's girlfriend Morgan Riddle shares her delight as the American books his semifinals spot at the Dallas Open

Taylor Fritz's girlfriend, Morgan Riddle, shared her support for the American as he booked his spot in the semifinals of the Dallas Open.

Taylor Fritz suffered a shock exit at the recent Australian Open, losing to Australia's Alexei Popyrin in an intense five-set match with a score of 6-7(4), 7-6(2), 6-4, 6-7(6), 6-2 in the second round. However, he has enjoyed success at the ATP 250 event in Dallas. The top seed in the tournament, Fritz defeated Jack Sock in the Round of 16 7-6(5), 6-4 of the tournament. The World No. 8 then dispatched compatriot Marcos Giron 7-6(7), 3-6, 6-3, to reach the semifinals.

Fritz's girlfriend Morgan Riddle was present at the Dallas Open to support her boyfriend. She shared her happiness and pride at seeing the American advancing to the semifinals.

"Semiiiis baby," Riddle congratulated Fritz on Instagram.

The Dallas Open Instagram account shared a video of Marcos Giron and Taylor Fritz preparing for their quarterfinals clash. The pair can be seen going through pre-game preparations before taking to the court for the match.

The clip included a sweet moment shared by Fritz and his girlfriend as they exchanged kisses prior to the match.

Riddle reposted the clip to her Instagram account.

"I kiss you on the forehead," she captioned the story.

Morgan Riddle also shared a hilarious picture of Fritz getting back into the Texan spirit as he donned the cowboy hat gifted to him by tournament officials after his match against Jack Sock.

Taylor Fritz will take on Yibing Wu in the semifinals of the Dallas Open

Taylor Fritz will face Yibing Wu in the semifinals of the Dallas Open. Wu is having a dream run at the Dallas Open. He defeated third seed Denis Shapovalov in straight sets in the Round of 16. Similarly, he bested Adrian Mannarino 6-3, 6-4 to advance to the semifinals. The Dallas Open Instagram account congratulated Wu on his achievement.

Taylor Fritz and Yibing Wu have never faced each other in an ATP tournament before.

Fritz will be on the hunt for his fifth ATP title with his best result coming at the Masters 1000, BNP Paribas Open last year. The World No. 8 defeated Rafael Nadal in the final at Indian Wells in 2022 and became the first American man to win the tournament since Andre Agassi in 2001.
