However, they recently deleted their pictures on Instagram, sparking rumors that they have ended their relationship.

Neither Berrettini nor Tomljanovic have commented on the matter, but that did not stop fans on social media from speculating on the possible reasons for their break-up.

One fan came up with a wild theory that Berrettini may have cheated on Tomljanovic with Amanda Anisimova, leading to the American's coach parting ways with her.

"I would be obsessed if Matteo cheated on Ajla with Amanda and that’s why Darren quit."

Several fans said they were extremely saddened and disappointed by the news of the potential split.

"The Matteo-Ajla stuff is really sad (coming from a hardcore fan of both), but the misogyny directed towards Ajla is so uncalled for. First of all, she’s stunning, and second of all, who are we to judge the dynamics of their relationship?

Another user believes any drama caused by the potential split could be lapped up by Netflix, who are filming a documentary about the lives of professional tennis players.
