US Open Prize Money Breakdown: How much did 2024 winner Aryna Sabalenka and runner-up Jessica Pegula earn?

Aryna Sabalenka claimed her second Grand Slam title of 2024 and third overall at the US Open, defeating home favorite Jessica Pegula 7-5, 7-5 in the final on Saturday, September 7. This victory saw the Belarusian avenge her loss in last year's championship match at Flushing Meadows, where she fell to Coco Gauff.

Sabalenka's triumph in New York earned her a hefty $3,600,000 from the tournament’s record $75M prize pool, while Pegula took home $1,800,000. Emma Navarro and Karolina Muchova each received $1,000,000 after being eliminated in the semifinals.

Iga Swiatek, Beatriz Haddad Maia, Paula Badosa, and Zheng Qinwen each got $530,000 for their quarterfinal finish.

Meanwhile, players eliminated in the fourth round — including defending champion Coco Gauff, 16th seed Liudmila Samsonova, 18th seed Diana Shnaider, Caroline Wozniacki, fifth seed Jasmine Paolini, 24th seed Donna Vekic, 33rd seed Elise Mertens, and Yafan Wang — each took home $325,000.

Home favorite Madison Keys, Peyton Stearns, 15th seed Anna Kalinskaya, 29th seed Ekaterina Alexandrova, Jule Niemeier, 19th seed Marta Kostyuk, 27th seed Elina Svitolina, 20th seed Victoria Azarenka, qualifier Elena-Gabriela Ruse, Anastasia Potapova, Yulia Putintseva, Jessika Ponchet, Jessica Bouzas Maneiro, Sara Errani, Ashlyn Krueger, and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova each earned $215,000 for their third-round finish.

Those knocked out in the second round, including Naomi Osaka, Sofia Kenin, Katie Boulter, reigning Wimbledon champion Barbora Krejcikova, and Taylor Townsend, received $140,000 each. Players who were sent home packing in the opening round, such as Mirra Andreeva, Danielle Collins, Emma Raducanu, and Jelena Ostapenko, bagged $100,000 each.

Latvian Jelena Ostapenko and Ukraine’s Lyudmyla Kichenok clinched the women’s doubles title at the 2024 US Open with a 6-4, 6-3 win over the Chinese-French duo of Zhang Shuai and Kristina Mladenovic on Friday, September 6. The winning pair received $750, 000 while the runner-up took home $375,000.

Taylor Townsend and Katerina Siniakova as well as Veronika Kudermetova and Chan Hao-ching were eliminated in the semifinals and each pair got $190,000.

Meanwhile, top seed Gabriela Dabrowski and Erin Routliffe, eighth seed Lusia Stefani and Demi Schuurs, fifth seed Nicole Melichar-Martinez and Ellen Perez, as well as unseeded Anna Danilina and Irina Khromacheva, each earned $110,000 after being knocked out in the quarterfinals.

Players eliminated in the third and second rounds received $63,000 and $40,000, respectively and those who fell in the first round took home $25,000.
