Venus Williams enjoys her day at the Rubell Museum in Miami

Venus Williams shared her experience of going to a contemporary art museum, the Rubell Museum in Miami, Florida.

The Rubell Museum is one of the biggest private contemporary art museums in North America and is owned by Don and Mera Rubell, who own more than 7500 art pieces. The couple married in 1964 and have been one of the world's most recognized art collectors for the past five decades.

The 42-year-old, who is still an active player on the WTA tour, decided to share a few moments and art pieces from the famous museum. Williams took to her Instagram stories to showcase the time she spent amongst the art.

Some of the art showcased by Williams came from legendary Japanese artists Yayoi Kusama and Yoshitomo Nara. She also showcased paintings by renowned American artist Henry Taylor, who she referred to as a 'legend' in one of her stories.

American tennis legend Venus Williams is still active on tour at the age of 42. The American turned pro in 1994 at the age of 14.

In her illustrious career, Williams has won seven Grand Slam titles, 14 Grand Slam doubles titles with Serena Williams, and two mixed-doubles Grand Slam titles. In total, Williams has won 49 WTA titles on the tour. She has also won 22 WTA doubles titles and two mixed-doubles titles, taking her combined total to 73 WTA titles.

In February of 2002, Williams reached a career-high ranking of No. 1 and became the first African-American player to do so in the Open Era. In 2010, she has also reached the No. 1 ranking in the doubles format.

Williams has also dominated the Olympics, winning the women's singles gold at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Along with her younger sister Serena, Williams has won three Olympic gold medals in doubles at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, the 2008 Beijing Olympics, and the 2012 London Olympics.

In 2021, the 42-year-old made her 90th Grand Slam appearance and won her 90th career match at Wimbledon, beating Mihaela Buzarnescu of Romania 7-5, 4-6, 6-3. Her 2021 appearance at Wimbledon also marked her 23rd appearance at the prestigious All England Club.
