Aryna Sabalenka had an unexpected moment during a post-match interview at the World Tennis League, accidentally dropping an NSFW word on camera. She jokingly blamed her best friend, Paula Badosa, for not teaching her enough Spanish vocabulary.

During the interview, Sabalenka and Badosa were together when the former commented on her Spanish skills, saying:

“I was just showing off my Spanish skills. Come on, it's your fault! You—you—you have to teach me better stuff than pu*a."

In Match 3 of the World Tennis League Season 3 at Etihad Arena, Sabalenka teamed up with Mirra Andreeva of the Hawks to dominate the Eagles' duo of Iga Swiatek and Paula Badosa in the women’s doubles.

Later, the Belarusian secured another victory, defeating the Spaniard 6-2 in singles. Her victory widened the Hawks’ overall lead to 12-3.

Aryna Sabalenka and Paula Badosa are gearing up to begin their 2025 season at the Brisbane International. The tournament will take place at the Queensland Tennis Centre this summer, running from December 29, 2024, to January 5, 2025.

The Brisbane International is a prestigious tennis tournament held on outdoor hard courts in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. As a WTA 500 event and an ATP 250 tournament, it features eight days of top-tier tennis action, with 180 of the world’s best players competing.

In the 2024 season, Sabalenka claimed two Major titles, winning both the Australian Open and the US Open. She also regained her crown of the WTA world No. 1 ranking in October. Besides that, she won the Cincinnati Open and Wuhan Open while also reaching the semifinals of the WTA Finals.

Meanwhile, Badosa was named ‘WTA Comeback Player of the Year’ after starting the season ranked 66th, only to finish at No. 12 by the end of the year. Although she didn’t win any Slams, her title victory at the Citi Open was remarkable.

After their campaign in Brisbane, both players will head to the Melbourne Slam, with Sabalenka defending her title and her close friend Badosa aiming for her maiden Major.
