Carlos Alcaraz, Iga Swiatek, Frances Tiafoe, and other tennis stars took part in a Gen Z slang challenge at the 2024 Cincinnati Open media day. The WTA and ATP tours are currently in the USA for the North American hard court swing.

Tennis stars such as Stefanos Tsitsipas, Matteo Berrettini, Grigor Dimitrov, Arthur Fils, Frances Tiafoe, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Taylor Fritz, Carlos Alcaraz, Lorenzo Musetti, Tommy Paul, and Iga Swiatek took turns guessing the meaning of various Gen Z slangs.

Tsitsipas hilariously claimed that Gen Z was a whole different generation, while Berrettini said he was 'already sweating' before even being asked the first question.

"This is a completely different generation," the Greek remarked.
"Sweating already," Berrettini said.

Carlos Alcaraz tried to guess what salty meant, but was very far away from the actual meaning, while Musetti wrongly guessed, 'spicy'.

"Like with a lot of salt," Alcaraz said, laughing.

Iga Swiatek hilariously guessed that flex meant flexible, while the Greek could not answer. Berrettini tried to dodge the question as he did not know what ghosted meant. On the other hand, Auger-Aliassime failed to guess what sigma meant.

"I have no clue what that means," he said.

Tsitsipas and Swiatek successfully guessed the meaning of vibing to end the challenge. Auger-Aliassime could not guess a single term and laughed off his performance.

"0 on 10. Fantastic," he said.
