Coco Gauff shared the ecstatic reactions of her family back home in Florida, following her triumph at the 2025 French Open. The celebrations saw the 21-year-old's grandmother adorably jumping around in joy, which sparked a hilarious reaction from Gauff.
Gauff had a rocky start to her 2025 season, but turned things around in significant fashion during the European clay swing. She seemed to be on a mission during the French Open and kicked off her campaign by decimating Olivia Gadecki. She followed it up with some routine wins over Tereza Valentova, Marie Bouzkova, and 20th seed Ekaterina Alexandrova.
After a statement win over her rival Madison Keys in the quarterfinals, she defeated the home favorite Lois Boisson to reach the final, where she met Aryna Sabalenka. Though the Belarusian came out guns blazing in the opening set, the resilient American's unrelenting will caused her to clinch a stunning turnaround (5)6-7, 6-2, 6-4 win after two hours and 38 minutes.
Celebrations ensued as the world took notice of the 21-year-old tennis prodigy's second Grand Slam triumph. While her parents and team were with her at the Philippe Chatrier, her family back home in Florida also went gaga over Gauff's epic win. Gauff was overwhelmed by her family's reaction and also gave a special shoutout to her grandmother, Yvonne Odom, on her Instagram story.
"My family 🥹I love ya'll. My grandma's reaction is so sweet but funnnyyyy," Gauff wrote.
Gauff also had an adorable thank-you message for her family during the trophy presentation.
