Iga Swiatek recently showcased that she’s a woman of many talents, beating Formula One driver Pierre Gasly in a Tennis Ball Challenge.

The Pole easily completed Gasly’s reaction exercise and also added her own variations to the challenge. She then re-challenged the F1 racer to do it with his eyes closed.

Pierre Gasly, the F1 racer with the BWT Alpine F1 team, challenged tennis players to do his pre-race reaction exercise with tennis balls.

Iga Swiatek took on the challenge with ultimate confidence.

“Even though I’m not gonna win the Miami Open this year, I’m pretty sure that I can compete pretty well on this one,” she said in the video.
“Basically, because I’m doing this exercise before every practice or match, so the question is if you want me to do it with my eyes closed or not?” she added.

The World No. 1 also added a variation by catching the ball with alternate hands and closing her eyes.

The F1 Miami Grand Prix Twitter page was in awe of the Pole.

“What can’t your @wta World No. @iga_swiatek do?! @PierreGASLY, now it’s your turn to do it with your eyes closed ” the page captioned this video.

World No. 1 Iga Swiatek pulled out of the ongoing 2023 Miami Open due to a rib injury. Her withdrawal means the 21-year-old will not be able to defend her title.

However, the Pole is enjoying her time off in Miami and took up the Tennis Ball Challenge.

2022 Miami Open champion Iga Swiatek pulled out of the 2023 Miami Open and Billie Jean Cup to rest and recover from a rib injury.

However, the 21-year-old is enjoying her time in Miami and attended the Miami Heat vs New York Knicks game on March 22. She posted a picture of herself enjoying ice cream during the game.

"When life gives you lemons, make lemonade (or buy ice cream). I had great time last night. Go @MiamiHEAT," Swiatek tweeted.

The World No. 1’s injury makes her challenge to defend the six consecutive titles she won in 2022 even more daunting. However, Swiatek, who has already expressed that she will take one match at a time, seems unfazed by the pressure.
