Nicolas Jarry suffered a dramatic fall after accidentally colliding with a ball kid during his first-round match against home favorite Corentin Moutet at the 2024 French Open. The incident occurred in the second set of the match when Jarry was reaching for a towel.
Jarry, who is ranked No. 19 in the world and reached the final of the Rome Masters this month, was expected to put up a strong challenge. He was also aiming to improve his best result at the French Open, where he reached the fourth round in 2023. However, this year his hopes were dashed by Moutet, who is ranked 79th in the world.

The video of the collision between Jarry and the ball kid was posted on X (formerly Twitter).
