Serena Williams’ recent video proves that the tennis legend’s life as a mother is no different than that of any other parent.

Williams and her husband (then boyfriend) Alexis Ohanian welcomed their daughter Olympia on September 1, 2017. The birth of their child did not stop the athlete from hitting the tennis courts and accumulating more trophies in an already legendary tennis career.

Serena Williams won her 23rd and final Grand Slam at the Australian Open in 2017, while pregnant with Olympia. The American further went on to feature in four other Grand Slam finals as a mother.

However, in August 2022, the tennis legend announced her decision to move away from tennis and shift her priorities towards her business and family. Serena has since enjoyed various new gigs and has constantly shared updates about her life as a mother with her fans on social media.

She recently posted a video of herself showing off lounge pants from her clothing brand S by Serena's newest collection. The 41-year-old, however, had to deal with a hilarious interruption as her adorable daughter Olympia was eager to say hello to Williams’ fans and followers.

Serena Williams is thoroughly enjoying her role as a mother and the duo are often seen spending time together playing dress-up.

Serena Williams’ historic career wins haven’t happened by chance for the athlete. Only a few, if any, are able to devote themselves to their goals and principles the way that the former World No. 1 has.

In a recent interview with E!, the 41-year-old spoke about the kind of influence she wished to have on her daughter Olympia.

"I hope she realises that I was pretty good at my job and the hard work that it takes to be good at it. So, that's what I would hope, just taking away the hard work and the excellence that you have to put your body through and the discipline that you also have to put your body through."

The player also highlighted that she wanted Olympia to learn the importance of the right team and company around her.

"How you can have a good career if you have a good team around you and you can have a different career if you have a bad team around you. And kinda amplifying that in her life as well — meaning your friends or the people that you talk to, you want to make sure that that's quality," she added.
