Tommy Paul and his girlfriend Paige Lorenze recently celebrated their one-year anniversary at the 2023 Laver Cup gala in Vancouver.
Lorenze and Paul made their relationship public in the fall of 2022. The couple have been supporting each other’s careers and passions, traveling the world together, and sharing their moments with fans.
Lorenze, who is the founder of the lifestyle brand Dairy Boy, is often seen cheering for Paul at his tennis matches. She was present in his player's box during his impressive run at the 2023 US Open, where he reached the fourth round for the first time.
Lorenze posted pictures of them posing on the black carpet on Instagram on Friday, September 22. She wore a blue dress, while Paul donned a black suit and a white shirt with a bow tie.
"Laver Cup 🖤 (which also happens to be our anniversary) @tommypaull I love and adore you! We make the best team and I feel so supported by you every day. This has been the best year of my life in so many ways. Thank you for being you and for being my rock and my best friend," Lorenze captioned her post.
Paul commented on the post:
"I love you P ❤️."
Lorenze revealed that she got food poisoning upon arrival in Vancouver, which almost ruined her chance of going to the Laver Cup’s prestigious gala.
“There is a gala tonight for @lavercup and I am determined to go,” she said, adding a laughing emoji. “(I definitely had food poisoning and am exhausted from work/travel it’s not anything contagious).”
Lorenze later said that she had to use IV therapy and sound therapy to ease her symptoms.
“It’s been a rough night/ morning. Got very sick but slowly coming back to life via this IV drip lol. Have been listening to this all morning and it actually helped?” she said. "I came back to life guys."
The 2023 Laver Cup is taking place from September 22-24 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver. Paul is part of Team World, which is led by captain John McEnroe. Team World is aiming to defend its title against Team Europe, which is captained by Bjorn Borg.
Tommy Paul and Frances Tiafoe aim to extend Team World’s lead at Laver Cup 2023
The American duo of Tommy Paul and Frances Tiafoe will face a tough challenge from Team Europe’s Andrey Rublev and Arthur Fils in the doubles match on the first day of the 2023 Laver Cup on Friday, September 22.
Team World has taken a 2-0 lead over Team Europe, thanks to the impressive performances of Ben Shelton and Francisco Cerundolo. Shelton defeated Fils in straight sets, 7-6(4), 6-1, in the opening match, while Cerundolo stunned Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in straight sets, 6-3, 7-5, in the second match.
Team Europe, on the other hand, are eager to bounce back and reclaim the trophy they lost last year in London, which also happened to mark Roger Federer's retirement from tennis.
