Alexander Zverev's life and tennis career are the subjects of a new documentary on the German tennis star on RTL+, titled 'Zverev: Der Unvollendete.' A big part of his life is his relationship with girlfriend Sophia Thomalla, who is a famous German model and presenter.

Thomalla and Zverev opened up about the same in the documentary, and Thomalla highlighted the challenges they face with both leading different lives and careers.

Zverev, 25, and Thomalla, 33, have been in a relationship since October 2021 and the German celebrity star has also been seen in the former world No. 2's player box during tournaments on the tennis tour. The new documentary also features Thomalla, who explained why she and Zverev have a complicated life together.

"We don't have a simple life together," Thomalla said in the documentary on Alexander Zverev.
"Alex, with the incredible amount of sports he has and the continuity he has to go through again and again - and my life is anything but continuous. It's not 24/7 red roses now," she added.

However, she also shed light on the happier aspects of their equation, praising Zverev for always being there for her.

"I can talk to him about anything and he also has an ear for it," Thomalla expressed.

Similarly, Zverev also expressed gratitude for Thomalla's presence in his life, saying that she made him realize that there is more to life than tennis.

"She gave me the chance to realize that there is much more out there than tennis," Alexander Zverev said.

The current world No. 15 returned to the tour earlier this year after spending more than six months recovering from ankle surgery for a freak injury he sustained at the 2022 French Open.

Sophia Thomalla recently also reacted to the release of the RTL+ documentary titled 'Zverev: Der Unvollendete', with a heartfelt social media post for her partner. Thomalla highlighted how the documentary follows aspects of Zverev's life and personality, how difficult the injury layoff was for him to handle, and some of the most important people in his life. She also joked that the 25-year-old tennis star cannot cook well.

Thomalla shared a few photos from Zverev's life and career.

"This documentary shows who he is, where he comes from, what he can't, how hard he's working on himself, how bitter this injury was, how hard the road was and still is to get back to the level he once was, what he loves, who he loves loves what his childhood dream is, to whom he owes everything, how well he can throw and how less good he can cook," Thomalla wrote on Instagram.
