Who has earned the most prize money in 2024 after US Open 2024? Ft. Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, Iga Swiatek

The 2024 Grand Slam season came to an end on September 8 with the completion of the US Open, where Jannik Sinner and Aryna Sabalenka were the singles champions. The two became only the second player duo to win both hard-court majors since 1988.

As far as prize money is concerned, Sinner leads the charts among both men and women. The World No.1 has earned $10,590,709 so far in 2024. The Italian has been sensational form this season, winning six titles and losing just five matches so far.

Jannik Sinner has won both the hard-court Majors, along with two Masters 1000 titles in Miami and Cincinnati, and two ATP 500 events in Rotterdam and Halle. The World No. 1 has also earned $32,114 from playing doubles.

Carlos Alcaraz stands second on the prize money earned so far in 2024. The 21-year-old Spaniard won the French Open, Wimbledon and the BNP Paribas Open. The World No. 3 has earned $8,155,657 so far in 2024.

Aryna Sabalenka stands third among the prize money earners in 2024 so far. The newly crowned US Open champion has won $7,984,145, in 2024, with other titles in Melbourne (Australian Open), and in Cincinnati. The World No. 2 also reached the finals of two WTA 1000 events in Madrid and Rome.

Iga Swiatek is in the fourth position as per prize money earnings. The Pole has held on to her No.1 ranking in the year so far, courtesy of the five titles she has won, including a fourth French Open title.

Even though her performances in the other three Majors have not been exemplary, Swiatek has earned $7,515,693 so far this year. Aside from Roland Garros, the five-time Major champion has won four WTA 1000 titles in Doha, Indian Wells, Madrid, and Rome.

Following the US Open, Jannik Sinner, Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Swiatek will all be action at the China Open. Sinner and Swiatek are the defending champions at the tournament in Beijing.

Carlos Alcaraz is currently representing Spain at the Group stages of the Davis Cup Finals. The World No. 3 helped his nation get off to a strong start, as he won his singles match against Tomas Machac.

Alcaraz later partnered Marcel Granollers and the pair beat Jakub Mensik and Adam Pavlasek 6-7(2), 6-3, 7-6(2) to secure a 3-0 victory for Spain.
