King of Clay, Rafael Nadal has finally begun his practice sessions after recovering from an appendix surgery. The Spaniard is hoping to make a successful return for the 2015 season.

The nine-time French Open champion uploaded a picture on his official Facebook page on Tuesday where he could be seen training on a hard court in his home town. Nadal said he was very happy to be training again and is preparing for the next season.

Nadal recently revealed that he was suffering from appendicitis during the prestigious Shanghai Rolex Masters event but decided to play in the event while using antibiotics. He lost to compatriot Feliciano Lopez in his very first match in Shanghai. Nadal also participated in the Swiss Indoors Basel tournament where suffered a shock defeat at the hands of 124th-ranked Borna Coric in the quarter-finals.

Following Basel, Nadal decided to end his season and go for a surgery to remove his appendix. After going under the knife on 3rd November and having a successful operation, Nadal is now back on the tennis court. He is looking forward to a better 2015 season after missing almost half of 2014 due to injuries and illness. In 2014, Nadal first lost to Stanislas Wawrinka in the Australian Open final due to a back problem. He then missed two ATP Masters 1000 events in America as well as the US Open after suffering a wrist injury.
