Svetlana Kuznetsova has qualified for the semis in the Kremlin Cup. While Johanna Konta is in the third round of the Hong Kong Open. Spaniard Carla Suarez Navarro, actually had the most points among Kuznetsova and Konta. She was more likely to qualify for the Finals but she had to retire at the last minute in the Kremlin Cup due to a wrist injury.

Kuznetsova is currently playing the semi-finals at the Kremlin Cup, while Konta is in the Third Round at the Hong Kong Open; it looks slanted for Kuznetsova to win the final spot, although she is currently behind in the points to Konta.
