Sania Mirza entered the semifinals of the women’s doubles section at the WTA Dubai Duty Free tennis tournament. Sania, partnering B. Mattek-Sands of United States, beat A. Pavlyuchenkova of Russia and L. Safarova of Czech Republic in straight sets 6-4, 6-4 in the quarter finals.
They will face C. Black of Zimbabwe and A. Rodionova of Australia. The Zimbabwe-Australia pair beat L. Raymond of United states and S. Stosur of Australia in straight sets 6-1, 6-3.
All the semifinal matches of the doubles event of this $200,000 WTA event will be held on 22 Feb, 2013.
