Tennis icon Serena Williams' ex-coach addresses the controversy surrounding Jessica Pegula and Emma Navarro’s billionaire status

Serena Williams' former coach Rick Macci has voiced support for the US Open finalist Jessica Pegula and semifinalist Emma Navarro, who frequently face criticism due to their affluent upbringings.

Pegula is the daughter of Terry Pegula, a well-known petroleum engineer and owner of the Buffalo Bills. Emma Navarro's father, Benjamin Navarro, is the CEO and founder of Sherman Financial Group. As daughters of billionaires, they have been criticized by players and fans, with claims that their financial status influences their success.

Macci took to X and emphasized that their work ethic transcends any advantages wealth may provide.

"Pegula and Navarro being world class has ZERO to do with the ZEROS the parents have supported them with. The calming skills the work ethic the movement and life lessons of gratitude and right attitude goes farther than the money you spend to chase greatness. @jessicapegula16 @EmmaNavarro98," Macci wrote.
"Having a lot of money gives YOU an opportunity. What YOU do with that opportunity determines how much money you might make someday," Macci wrote in another tweet.

Nick Kyrgios responds to Stan Wawrinka naming him the best trash-talker

Nick Kyrgios has responded to being chosen by Stan Wawrinka for his trash-talking skills. Kyrgios and Wawrinka have a controversial history dating back to the 2015 Canadian Open.

During the second-round match, Kyrgios made a provocative comment about his friend Thanasi Kokkinakis being involved with Wawrinka's then-girlfriend, Donna Vekic. The incident caused an uproar, leading to a month-long ban and fines for Kyrgios.

Recently, Wawrinka was asked to create his ideal player across nine categories: serve, return, tactics, mentality, forehand, backhand, slice, volley, and trash-talking.

The Swiss' selections included Milos Raonic for serving, Novak Djokovic for return, tactics, and backhand, Rafael Nadal for mentality, Roger Federer for forehand, slice, and volley, and Kyrgios for trash-talking.

Kyrgios reacted to the post:

"Yep."

Nick Kyrgios recently landed in hot water after making a seemingly derogatory remark about his former and Jannik Sinner's current girlfriend and fellow tennis player, Anna Kalinskaya.
