The third seeded pair of Leander Paes and Radek Stepanek defeated Spanish duo Marcel Granollers and Marc Lopez 7-5 6-4 in their second Group A match to qualify for the semifinals of the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals. It was an even fight in the first set, until Paes and Stepanek came back strongly in the 12th game and broke the game to win the serve.
The Spanish pair then got an early advantage in the second set, but some solid tennis from both Paes and Stepanek saw them catch up with the opponent and then take the lead.
Earlier in the tournament, the Indo-Czech pair defeated Aisam-ul-haq Qureshi and Jean-Julien Roger in their first match.
