If you thought Roger Federer was the only one who could hit a perfectly timed ‘tweener, think again. Serbian beauty Ana Ivanovic hit her version of the shot in her third round match against Sloane Stephens at Indian Wells yesterday, much to the delight of the spectators.
Ivanovic has reportedly been practising the between-the-legs shot (colloquially referred to as a “tweener” or “hot dog”) for years, and she finally got to show it off in a match. She couldn’t hide her joy at having successfully pulled it off even though she lost the point (and eventually, the match); she let out a big smile once the point got over.
