Li Na won many hearts by capturing her long-awaited Australian Open title when she defeated Dominika Cibulkova in the final, 7-6, 6-0. But she won perhaps even more hearts with her hilarious post-match speech at the presentation ceremony, where she made the audience literally go ‘lol’ with her wisecracks.
A picture of happiness as she took to the stand, Li kept going from one funny line to another. She thanked her agent with the simple words, “Thanks to my agent. Make me rich,” and then poured into a hilarious eulogy to her husband which made him raise his arms in celebration, blush a deep red and smile proudly, all in a 10-second time frame.
