General Hospital viewers have been waiting for Lulu Spencer to wake up from her long coma, particularly after having a hhliver transplant to save her life while sacrificing Sam MacCall. Lulu woke up on the same day that her donor, Sam, had her funeral. She soon realized Cyrus Renault was visiting her and speaking to her doctor. With the criminal relative, Cyrus, wanting to take control of her life, it is logical that Lulu would look out for an escape.

Longtime General Hospital fans know that the long-running American daily soap often presents unimaginable situations. The soap's storyline, which revolves around the titular medical facility in the fictional Port Charles area, extends to include various residents, mobster families, and the township's law enforcers.

Lulu Spencer is the feisty daughter of Laura and Luke Spencer, who was in a four-year-long coma, after being exposed to an explosion. Her mob boss uncle, Cyrus, orchestrated the explosion.

After waking up, Lulu escaped from the hospital with unbelievable swiftness, leaving fans incredulous and unhappy.

General Hospital: What happened with Lulu to cause fan disapproval?

Tuesday, November 19, 2024, found Lulu Spencer waking up from a long coma after almost four years. While paradoxically, it was the day her liver donor, Sam, was getting her funeral, Lulu, played by Alexa Havins Bruening, was expected to return to the soap's storyline after her successful surgery.

However, the next episode saw Lulu listening to her doctor speaking to Cyrus Renault. She remembered her pre-coma days when Cyrus had threatened her.

As such, she pretended to be in her comatose state when Cyrus approached her bedside.

When she tried to get out of bed and fell due to weak legs, she continued the sham of being unconscious. However, on the GH episode that aired on November 25, 2024, Lulu heard Cyrus planning with her caregivers to shift her to another facility. After Cyrus and the nurses left, Lulu got out of bed and carefully made her way out.

She set off the fire alarm to clear out the front desk, grabbed the receptionist's coat and bag, and left the medical facility. She also managed to change into a hooded jacket and pants, before waving down a passing car.

She called out to the driver for help, while Cyrus was looking for her inside the hospital. With this, Lulu was back in Port Charles.

What might the future hold for Lulu Spencer on the soap?

As per the soap's spoilers, Cody Bell will likely be helping someone. This could be Lulu, who is likely to reach out to her mother, Laura. While she doesn't yet know about Lucky's arrival in town, she may learn about the same soon. As such, she may collaborate with her brother to take down Cyrus.

On the romantic side, Lulu had tried to reconcile with Dante Falconeri before her coma. After waking up, she would also want to reunite with him. With Sam gone, Dante is alone and needs help with raising Sam's kids.

She would also want to track down Valentin and get to her daughter, Charlotte. However, how hands-on Lulu can be with the kids remains to be seen.
