Philip wakes up, and Sarah and Kate react swiftly

The Days of Our Lives episode began with Xander standing over Philip, ready to smother him with a pillow. However, Philip suddenly woke up, stopping him. Kate and Sarah rushed in after noticing the missing guard and found Philip to be weak but awake. Kate was emotional, and Sarah focused on his care.

Xander pretended to be relieved, but Kate was suspicious, while Sarah ordered tests to check Philip’s condition and memory. Meanwhile, Kate blamed the guard, who admitted he felt sick and was likely drugged, making her realize that’s how Xander got into the room.

Jada corners Xander

Xander ran into more trouble as he tried to leave the square. Jada stopped him and asked some tough questions about his hospital visit. She had already heard from Kate about the guard getting sick. Xander said he was just checking in on Philip, but Jada didn’t believe him and told him not to leave town.

Later at The Bistro, Xander looked tense. When Alex told him Philip was awake, Xander just grabbed a drink. Alex guessed Xander was nervous about being arrested, and the mood stayed tense.

Steve’s retirement party brings laughter, love, and unretirement

Steve’s retirement party on Days of Our Lives was at the heart of the episode. Before it, he had an emotional dream where his late sister Adrienne told him she and John were watching over him. When he woke up, he shared the dream with Kayla, who said dreams can be visits from angels.

Kayla convinced him to go to Stephanie’s dinner, which turned out to be a surprise party. Jack, Jennifer, Alex, and Stephanie were all there to celebrate his long career. Flashbacks showed Steve’s journey from fights with Bo to losing his eye and finding love with Kayla.

The biggest twist came when Steve changed his mind about retirement. After a call with Bo and Hope, he agreed to take on a new case. He was back in action, and everyone cheered, Jennifer calling it the “best unretirement party ever.”

Family moments and birthday wishes

While getting ready for Steve’s party, Jennifer gave Jack a birthday cupcake and urged him to celebrate. Jack made a wish to visit Salem more often, and it was a sweet moment for the couple. Elsewhere, Alex worried about impressing Steve. Stephanie calmed him, and their playful scenes added some lightness to the episode.

Philip names his attacker, twist ending shocks Salem

At the end of the Days of Our Lives episode, Jada asked Philip who attacked him. He said that he remembered the beating, but said it wasn’t Xander. Later, Steve and Kayla talked at home, and she realized she loved him just as he was, even if he wasn’t ready to slow down. They kissed as flashbacks of Steve’s past played. The Days of Our Lives episode ended with a big question: if not Xander, then who would Philip blame for his attack?
