What is Sharon's story on Beyond the Gates?

Sharon first appeared on Beyond the Gates on May 30, 2025. She brought with her a history of pain and anguish as she stepped back into the lives of her old bandmates, Anita Dupree and Tracy Tyler. She was a member of the Articulettes, a Chicago girl group that emerged from the Cabrini-Green housing complex to national stardom during the 1970s.

Sharon was once known for her fierce stage presence and loyalty to the team. Alongside Anita and Tracy, she performed at venues like the Regal Theatre and even marched for civil rights, becoming part of a cultural movement. However, the group’s promising trajectory was cut short when Anita made the controversial decision to go solo.

She left behind both the group and the tight-knit bond they once shared. Sharon took Anita’s departure personally, and the wounds never quite healed. When Anita later sought to reconnect and stage a reunion, Sharon made her feelings clear, refusing the call and questioning Anita’s sincerity.

Unlike Tracy, who seemed open to reconciliation, Sharon insisted that the past couldn’t be brushed aside without real accountability. Still, beneath her guarded demeanor, Sharon carried the same nostalgia and emotional ties. Meeting with Tracy at Orphey Gene’s, the two shared memories and vinyl records, hinting at the possibility of healing.

Tracy’s pleas for unity were met with Sharon’s skepticism, but also with reflection. In a dramatic turn, Sharon arrived at the Dupree mansion. She surprised Anita and suggested that while the past still casts a long shadow, the door to forgiveness might not be entirely closed.

Brisker has been a part of 5 Beyond the Gates episodes so far, appearing in episodes 63, 64, 66, 67, and 70. Her latest appearance was on June 10, 2025.
