Eli Ellis' brother, Isaac Ellis, committed to the South Carolina Gamecocks on Thursday. Eli is among the top 75 prospects in the Class of 2025 and is set to start his collegiate career with South Carolina.
On Friday, On3's Joseph Tipton announced Isaac's commitment, along with his highlights at Overtime Elite. The four-star combo guard showcased his driving ability, assisted his teammates and knocked down 3-pointers.
"Isaac Ellis has committed to South Carolina, he tells @on3recruits 🐔 The 6-1 class of 2026 guard averaged 14.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.8 steals per game for @yngdreamerz this year 💪🏼," the caption read.
Fans were excited to see the four-star guard playing for the Gamecocks.
"Yeah him Myles hero should be a good pair of guard really talented shooters!!" a fan commented.
"This is amazing so proud of you Isaac can’t wait to see you and Eli on the same floor together again 🤍," another fan commented.

Other were not surprised that Isaac committed to South Carolina, as his brother Eli Ellis will begin his freshman year there.
"Congrats to Isaac, but let’s be real who didn’t see this coming😂😂," one fan said.
"Making big moves 🔥," Overtime Elite wrote.
"South Carolina is cooking 🔥," another fan wrote.
During the 2024-25 Overtime Elite season, Isaac's defensive prowess earned him a nomination for the OTE Defensive Player of the Year award.
“I chose South Carolina because of the belief they had in me," Isaac said on Thursday, via On3. "They were the first high major to offer me and they have stayed in contact with me very consistently."
Isaac chose the Gamecocks over offers from Oklahoma State, Eastern Kentucky, Radford, Indiana State and Old Dominion.
Isaac and Eli Ellis lead YNG Dreamerz to OTE championship victory
On March 14, the YNG Dreamerz clinched their first Overtime Elite championship. They defeated the City Reapers 93-90 in Game 4 of the finals, held at OTE Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
Isaac Ellis contributed 59 points over the four-game series. Eli Ellis tallied 141 points in the last four games, along with a buzzer-beating 3-pointer in Game 4 that secured the championship.
Eli's performance earned him the OTE Finals Most Valuable Player award.
