On June 13, Jin's fans took to social media after BTS' 12th anniversary FESTA celebrations were marred by an unpleasant incident. Those present at the venue allegedly noticed that the singer's solo clip was missing from the official anniversary video screened during the event.
The large-scale celebration was held at KINTEX in Goyang to celebrate the FESTA festivities. This included photo zones, games, archive exhibits, and BTS-themed installations across the city.
While other members’ solo stages were shown, Jin was reportedly not featured either in solo content or in the OT7 group clip. The missing clip sparked an immediate backlash online.
Notably, the eldest BTS member is the brand ambassador for two of the FESTA’s main sponsors, Laneige and Ottogi Jin Ramen.
Many fans expressed disappointment, calling the omission deliberate and unprofessional. An X user, @4_Uu_0, wrote,
"festival is sponsored by his brands, and instead of thanking him, they excluded him from the video. They do not respect him."

Social media quickly filled with demands for BigHit to correct the error and issue an apology.
"In the video used for Festa, only one person is missing. If it is not an intentional omission, please correct it immediately and apologize for the repeated editing mistakes and promise to prevent them from happening again," an X user mentioned.
"its not a mistake they are checking over and over again. it's NOT MISTAKE," a fan added.
"their company's inability to make sure all *checks notes* 7 different people are included in content they literally stitch together has remained unchanged oh we're back fr you guys," another netizen mentioned.
"This is what every Seokjiinnies fear. "We are so back". After all the hardwork, carrying his team for 6 months, alone, he doesn't deserve this kind of treatment. If you are a true ARMY, this should not be ok," a fan remarked.
Some also pointed out the irony of using brands represented by Jin while sidelining him from the video.
"Jin's brands/ affiliates doing the heavy lifting with sponsorships, and they forgot to add him to the montage... sounds about right! Bighit is BAAACK," a fan commented.
"imagine leaving out seokjin on festa day when HIS SOLO BRAND DEALS are the ones paying for that festa pop up event. bighit you will burn," an X user mentioned.
"The audacity of not including Seokji n's "Epiphany" in the Festa video, while shamelessly using his brand deals to sponsor the event, especially now the favourite children are back. I freaking hate BH/H right now," another one said.
