The last episode of Tastefully Yours aired on Netflix on Tuesday, June 10, 2025. In this culminating episode, viewers witnessed Yeon-ju's acceptance of Beom-woo's affection. The series traces the tale of Han Beom-woo (portrayed by Kang Ha-neul), the successor of a prominent culinary enterprise, who operates an upscale eatery in Seoul.
On the other hand, Mo Yeon-joo (played by Go Min-si) is a culinary artist profoundly devoted to cuisine. She operates a no-sign, one-table eatery tucked away in a quiet rural town.
The two, who come from entirely different worlds, end up co-managing a small restaurant in Jeonju. While working together, they adapt to each other’s methods and gradually build a connection.
The series documents their professional growth as well as the gradual development of their relationship. In the latest episode, a cooking contest unfolds between Jungjae and Motto following a challenge introduced by the French father from Tastefully Yours' episode 5, who set “chicken” as the main ingredient.
Both sides began prepping their signature dishes, aiming to impress a panel of customers who would provide critiques based on flavor and presentation. Though Yeon-ju did not actively assist Jungjae during the preparation, she quietly observed the process from the sidelines.
Meanwhile, Jang Young-hye introduced her version of Gwangyang-style grilled chicken for Motto. Once her dish was completed, she exited the restaurant. In a separate sequence, Han Sun-woo (Beom-woo's brother) traveled to Jeonju to meet Yeon-ju and extended an apology.
He acknowledged that, for their mother, culinary pursuits and restaurants had always taken precedence over personal matters. Elsewhere at Motto, Lee Yu-jin prepared to submit his resignation.
Yeon-ju arrived just then, and Yu-jin opened up about the emotional struggles faced by the two brothers, revealing how they were largely raised by their grandmother while their mother remained occupied with her cooking career.
This moment offered Yeon-ju clarity about the brothers’ upbringing. Later, the French father and Beom-woo’s mother arrived to evaluate the final round. Beom-woo served Coq au Vin, a traditional French chicken stew.
Who wins the cook-off in Tastefully Yours: Jungjae or Motto?
Once the judging concluded, Beom-woo’s mother received the evaluation scores in an envelope. In it, Jungjae had scored 93, while Motto received 89. Nevertheless, she declared the result to be a tie.
The French father, dissatisfied with the decision, exited in protest over the inconsistency. Beom-woo’s mother then requested another competition. Before anything proceeded, Yeon-ju stepped in, stating she would cook for Beom-woo’s mother herself.
She said that if her food failed to impress, Jungjae’s name could be erased. That evening, the two brothers shared drinks and reflected on how constantly adhering to their mother’s ideals had impacted their lives and choices.
The next day, Yeon-ju served Beom-woo’s mother a homemade Korean meal. She acknowledged her own defeat, explaining that the dish was the kind of comfort food any Korean child might cherish. It perhaps symbolizes what the brothers missed during their youth due to their mother’s absence.
Beom-woo’s mother appreciated the food; with Yeon-ju’s voluntary concession, Motto was declared the contest winner. Later on, before leaving, Sun-woo invited Beom-woo for another round of drinks.
Beom-woo also took a moment to apologize to Yeon-ju for the disappointment he had caused. She accepted, and the two reconciled with a warm embrace, briefly interrupted by Shin Chun-seung and Jin Myung-sook.
Toward the conclusion of the Tastefully Yours episode, Lee Yu-jin was seen joining Young-hye at her food truck, marking his departure from Motto as well.
The final scenes of Tastefully Yours also featured Park Ji-hoon making an appearance as TV personality Eun-jae in Myung-suk’s restaurant, the same character she once admired. The episode closed with Beom-woo and Yeon-ju sharing a quiet kiss.
