BTS' J-hope appeared on Lee Hyun's new MBC FM4U radio show, My Close Friend, on November 25, 2024. During his conversation with Lee Hyun, the BTS member hinted at the possibility of opening an account on TikTok. The rapper, who was the first guest on the show also spoke about his recent projects, his trip to the US, and his plans.
During their discussion, Lee Hyun referenced J-hope's dance videos from before his deployment and asked if he planned on participating in other trending dance challenges. The rapper playfully responded with a question, asking if he should open a TikTok account.
"Should I open my own (TikTok) account? I will try to do a lot of challenges," the rapper said.
As soon as fans heard the rapper mention starting his own TikTok account, they took to social media to express excitement about seeing J-hope on the platform. Many claimed they were looking forward to seeing him showcase his dance skills as he had done in 2018. That year, the BTS member was one of the celebrities who took up the "Kiki, Do You Love Me?" challenge inspired by Drake's In My Feelings. His moves had fans across the world praising his dancing skills.
Since completing his military service in October, J-hope's fans have been anticipating his return to the spotlight. During his time in the military, various viral dance challenges dominated social media, and fans felt his absence keenly.
