On November 26, 2024, a South Korean media outlet, Newsen reported that BIGHIT Music appointed Shin Seon-jeong as its new CEO. She will now follow Shin Young-jae, who led the company for four years. Shin Seon-jeong was at BIGHIT and contributed significantly agency's growth, particularly in its early days with BTS.
Shin joined the company, then known as BIGHIT Entertainment, in 2010, and helped in shaping the agency when there were merely ten employees. Notably, she played a key role in developing BIGHIT's Training & Development (T&D) system. As head of the T&D division, Shin was responsible for the trainee selection process and creating tailored programs.
She helped launch the careers of BTS, Tomorrow x Together (TXT), Enhypen, and other artists under the HYBE umbrella.
Her contributions to the music industry did not go unnoticed. In 2022, Shin was also named to Billboard's "40 Under 40" list, recognizing young leaders shaping the global music scene. Mentioning her as one of them, the publication wrote,
"Shin, 38, helped advance a system for training future artists on the South Korean K-pop giant’s labels, including BigHit Music, Source Music, PLEDIS Entertainment and ADOR. The T&D system, which HYBE has also initiated in Japan (where Shin is GM for that market’s T&D department), has been used to develop K-pop stars like BTS, Tomorrow x Together and ENHYPEN."
The following year, Shin Seon-jeon was also included in the "Billboard Women in Music" list, further highlighting his impact on the industry.

With his extensive experience in artist development and label operations, she is expected to lead efforts to optimize the company's management systems and expand its business into new areas.
Notably, BTS leader Kim Nam-joon (RM) mentioned Shin Seon-jeong in a heartfelt YouTube video titled HYBE T&D Stories | Part 01 released in December 2023. In the video, RM described Shin as one of the "guardian angels" who fought to keep Jimin in the group during BTS's early years, emphasizing how crucial her support was in helping to shape the team. He said,
