Recently, fans and netizens began to address the alleged lack of promotions and mistreatment of the Stray Kids member, Hyunjin. The eight-piece K-pop boy group recently rolled out their ninth mini album, ATE, and while fans were pretty satisfied and enjoyed the comeback, they couldn't help but address the alleged mistreatment towards Hyunjin from his agency, JYP Entertainment.
Many pointed out that the idol received the least amount of solo promotional content for their recent comeback in comparison to the other Stray Kids members. The other members have been participating in a diverse set of promotional projects such as Lee Know on BuzzFeed Celeb, Bang Chan and Felix on Deadpool & Wolverine World Tour interview, Jeongin on Masked Singer, etc.
Fans stated that Hyunjin has only received a total of two promotional content pieces while the other received around five to six. These promotional videos included his MMTG appearance and ALL ABOUT SKZ RADIO which all the Stray Kids members participated in.
Therefore, fans began to trend several hashtags to not only spread awareness on this issue but to also gain JYP Entertainment's attention.
Following the trends, JYP Entertainment's stocks have been experiencing a steady decrease. Here's how fans reacted to the recent allegations of the idol's mistreatment and lack of promotions:
"This is truly upsetting! All members of Stray Kids should be getting equal and fair treatment." - said a fan on X
"The disappointment has already crossed all boundaries. F*ck you jyp 4 considering the contract renewal as a basement renewal" - said an X user
"Just when I thought JYPE couldn't get any worse. How are you mistreating one of your most famous and money making idol in one of your biggest group??? It doesn't make sense." - said another fan
More fans expressed the alleged repetition of the mistreatment and poor promotions of the idol despite him being the most popular member of the group.
"We are extremely upset over Hyunjin’s lack of promotion for this comeback. We demand Hyunjin be treated fairly and given equal opportunities as other members. This mistreatment is unacceptable for your most popular idol. Do better!" - said one user on X
"The lack of Hyunjin in the recent Stray Kids music videos and unveils are extremely concerning. Less than 10 seconds of screen time in a 4 minute video where someone who isn’t a member of stray kids is getting more screen time than him is absurd" - said a fan on X
"Hyunjin has been repeatedly left out of schedules for 4 comebacks in a row. The only schedules we get to see him do are ones that are organized by his respective brands. Other than that, JYPE has done nothing to promote him." - added a fan on X
