The drama follows the story of Khem, a young man born into a cursed family where every male is destined to die before the age of twenty. To shield him from this fate, his mother, Khaekhai, gave him a female name, Khemjira, which means “eternal safety.”

As a child, he was also given a protective takrud amulet by Father Kru Sek, a shaman, to guard him from danger. With these safeguards, Khem grew up believing he could avoid the curse.

By the time he turns 20, Khem is a third-year fine arts student in Bangkok. His life changes after his mother’s death, when his father, Pinyo, chooses to become a monk, dedicating his merit to his son’s survival.

Khem tries to live normally with the support of Jetana, a blunt but loyal friend he met at university. However, as he reaches adulthood, the protection begins to wane. The amulet loses its power, and spirits around him grow increasingly hostile.

When Jetana can no longer endure seeing Khem suffer, he brings him to a volunteer camp in a northeastern village. This is where Khem meets Pharan, Jetana’s teacher and the grandson of Kru Sek. Although bound by his grandfather’s promise to remain a healer and not directly interfere, Pharan finds himself drawn into Khem’s struggle.

He provides indirect support while also protecting the villagers from relentless spiritual attacks. Assisting him are his attendants, Thong and Ek, the twin Kumarnthongsm and Phuchong, the Black Naga spirit who watches over the forest and mountains.

Khem’s haunting is led by Ramphueng, a vengeful ghost tied to Khem’s past karma, who seeks to take his life. Her presence escalates the danger, threatening both Khem and the people around him.

Alongside Ramphueng, another spirit complicates matters further: Chayot, who follows Khem with conflicted motives. Chayot’s intentions are paradoxical: he wishes to protect Khem from Ramphueng but also wants to claim his soul.

The roots of this conflict stretch back to a past life during World War II, when Pharan was a young doctor named Pawat, and Chayot was his younger brother. Pawat’s engagement to Khemaika, the woman Chayot has loved in secret, has led to deep resentment between the brothers.

In the present, Chayot seeks revenge by targeting Khem, who is the reincarnation of Khemaika. At one point, Chayot kidnaps him in an attempt to settle the past. This forces Pharan to face his brother’s ghost, ultimately confronting and defeating him.

Amid this struggle, Khem begins to recall memories of his past life as Khemaika. The realization of this reincarnation, coupled with his growing bond with Pharan, blurs the lines between past and present. While their survival depends on overcoming curses and restless spirits, the emotional weight of their intertwined fates deepens their connection.

Adding another layer to the story is Chanwit, a psychology student who believes every event stems from human intention. His curiosity leads him to closely observe the strange occurrences at the camp. This inadvertently draws him into Khem and Jetana’s circle, turning him into an important companion in their ordeal.

Khemjira combines supernatural horror with reincarnation, love, and karmic revenge. The journey of Khem and Pharan is one of endurance. Here survival depends not only on escaping a curse but also on confronting the shadows of past lives and unresolved grudges.

Harit Buayoi plays Father Teacher Pharan, who becomes central to Khemjira’s struggle against a deadly curse. Napatsakorn Pingmuang portrays Khem, the protagonist caught between fate and haunting spirits.

In the supporting roles, Matiman Sreeboonrueang appears as Chanwit, the psychology student drawn into the mystery, while Wannakorn Reungrat plays Jetana, Khemjira’s loyal friend.Atsadaporn Siriwattanakul takes on the role of Ramphueng, the vengeful spirit driving the conflict.

With its mix of supernatural horror, emotional depth, and a compelling romance, Khemjira continues to capture attention, keeping viewers anticipating what lies ahead for Khem and Pharan.
