From Jedi Order reformation to Finn becoming a Jedi: These are 10 Star Wars alternate endings that made more sense
1) Kylo Ren being the final villain

Emperor Palpatine comes back as the last danger in the sequel trilogy. In an alternative ending, Kylo Ren could continue to be the primary antagonist right up until the end.
A final battle against Rey might have resulted from his growth, personal conflict, and leadership of the First Order. The main rivalry in the sequel would be more resolved through a duel based on ideology and personal connection. Hence, removing Palpatine would simplify the narrative and prevent repetition.
2) If Jedi could be heard and seen

At the time of the final battle in Star Wars, Rey starts to hear distant voices of the ex-Jedi, trying to help her. However, she could not see them, and fans wished that at the moment, the former Jedi could appear.
Watching the ghost version of Skywalker, Anakin, and others helping Rey fight the battle would have been a dream. It would also be a perfect ending for fans watching the protagonists take down the villain one last time.
3) What if Leia became the Jedi and not Luke

Luke is the Jedi in the first trilogy. Leia's development of her Force abilities and her confrontation with Vader and the Emperor would be the main focus of an alternate ending. Leia's decision to follow the Jedi path provides a different path to success because of her strong leadership and Skywalker ancestry.
In this alternate ending, Luke can assist her as a rebel commander. This change would reinforce the trilogy's internal logic and maintain harmony within the Skywalker family.
4) Luke joins Vader to defeat the Emperor

Vader gives Luke the opportunity to rule alongside him in The Empire Strikes Back. In an alternative Star Wars scenario, Luke would take the offer and then secretly plot to save his father and remove the Emperor.
Through this, the prophecy of restoring balance to the Force would take place, while giving Luke's character more strategic depth.
5) Padmé survives and hides from everyone

In Revenge of the Sith, Padmé dies after childbirth. In the alternate ending, fans see her survive and go into hiding, raising Leia secretly, while Bail Organa continues to act as Leia's father publicly.
This would keep her alive for a potential future storyline and give more insight into the prequels and the original trilogy.
6) Rey should have been a nobody, forever

In the 2019 Star Wars film The Rise of Skywalker, Rey is identified as Palpatine's granddaughter. However, in an alternative Star Wars ending, Rey's identity would remain unknown and unconnected to the primary characters.
Hence, she would be introduced as a Force user to the viewers through her training, moral fortitude, and personal development. This would support the premise established in The Last Jedi that destiny and power are not correlated with ancestry.
7) Palpatine dies in Return of the Jedi

Fans have often had continuity issues with Palpatine's reappearance in The Rise of Skywalker. After Vader throws him into the reactor in Return of the Jedi, a different scenario confirms his death.
Soon after, the perspective turns to a fresh set of dangers, enabling the sequel trilogy to birth several antagonists and storylines. This lessens the need for legacy antagonists and preserves the original trilogy's narrative plot.
8) Yoda and Obi-Wan Battle Vader together

Yoda fights the Emperor in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, while Obi-Wan faces Anakin. In a different conclusion, both Jedi would fight Vader together. Instead of letting him suffer, this teamwork might overwhelm him and even capture him.
This would provide alternatives for redemption. In addition to this, it would fix the problem of two senior Jedi splitting forces rather than working together at the most crucial juncture.
9) Anakin never moves to the Dark side

Fearful of losing Padmé, Anakin Skywalker joins Emperor Palpatine in Revenge of the Sith. For the alternate Star Wars ending, Anakin would reject Palpatine's manipulation.
He could face the Sith alongside Obi-Wan and Mace Windu, upholding the Jedi Order and halting the rise of the Empire, rather than betraying the Jedi. This would prevent the sudden transition into Darth Vader and be consistent with Anakin's prior allegiance. Additionally, it would shield Padmé from her demise.
10) Finn leads a rebellion

Finn's departure from the First Order marks the start of his storyline in the sequel trilogy. In a different Star Wars ending, he would take the lead in a full-scale stormtrooper rebellion, hyping up his role.
He could go back into First Order territory, encourage others to defect, and then destroy their ranks from within. Finn's revolutionary move may also occur concurrently with Rey's conflict with the Force.
Although Star Wars has entertained viewers for decades, some fans still question the logic behind some of the series' endings. These ten alternative endings examine various plots without changing the excitement level.
