John is Lucy's ex-boyfriend, a struggling actor working part-time as a waiter. His return into her life causes Lucy to question her decision of a perfect partner. John's character contrasts sharply with millionaire Harry Castillo, complicating Lucy's choice.

Chris Evans has numerous high-profile acting credits, such as Fantastic Four, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Knives Out, and Gifted. However, it is his role as Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that made him one of Hollywood's most recognizable actors. He also had a cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine.

Pedro Pascal as Harry Castillo

Pedro Pascal plays the role of Harry Castillo, a Manhattan millionaire who shows interest in Lucy. His upscale lifestyle emphasizes the movie's plot of love compromised by material gain. Castillo is Lucy's "perfect match" on paper, which leads her to question what she wants in a partner.

Pascal has earned recognition for his role as Oberyn Martell in HBO's critically acclaimed TV series Game of Thrones. He also stars as Joel in the adaptation of the video game The Last of Us.
