On June 12, a source close to Combs informed CNN that Kanye West, who goes by Ye, was in New York and has expressed interest in attending the trial to support Combs. The source indicated that West had been in contact with Combs' son, Christian "King" Combs, about attending court alongside the Combs family.

Christian Combs and other family members have been present for much of the trial. The source also mentioned that Kanye West and Christian Combs are currently collaborating on music together.

The timing for West's potential attendance was suggested to possibly align with when the defense begins presenting their case, as prosecutors were expected to conclude their presentation the following week.

Kanye West has publicly supported Diddy

Ye's alleged attempt to attend the trial follows his public expressions of support for Combs amidst the charges against him.

Combs faces multiple civil lawsuits alleging sexual assault or misconduct and is on trial in federal court for criminal charges including sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

Combs has denied all allegations and pleaded not guilty. West has been one of the few public figures to voice support, posting messages on social media calling for Combs' freedom ahead of the trial, including using the hashtag #FREEDIDDY in May.

Earlier in the year, West also released a song, Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine, featuring a recorded jail phone call with Combs, which also included Christian Combs and North West.

This support occurred alongside other controversies involving West, including sparking outrage in February, as per CNN, over selling t-shirts emblazoned with swastikas promoted in a Super Bowl ad.

Moreover, there has been previous widespread condemnation for alleged antisemitic remarks against Kanye West that led to severed business relationships.

West has collaborated with Combs in the past, such as on Ty Dolla $ign's Guard Down, and is currently working with Christian Combs.

Representatives for Combs and Christian Combs declined to comment to CNN, and West was not reachable for comment.
