Amid the ongoing Diddy trial, a clip of DJ Akademiks reportedly speaking to Wack 100 about 50 Cent had surfaced on social media platforms like X. In the clip uploaded by joebuddenclips/fanpage on Thursday, June 12, 2025, the two seemed to be discussing Jane, a recent witness who testified under a pseudonym.
For the unversed, fans had recently speculated that Jane was actually Daphne Joy, 50 Cent's child's mother. While rumors and speculations were flying around, the same couldn't be confirmed. In the clip, seemingly from a livestream, Akademiks could be heard saying:
"They might have exposed Kanye check it out. What 50s baby mom admitted she was in a freak off with another rapper and his wife, but it wasn't diddy."
This prompted Wack to say that the trial was impacting 50 Cent mentally. Wack 100 said:
"50 can say what he wants, but this sh*t is f*cking his head."
By the end of the conversation, DJ Akademiks claimed that Kanye West was up for going to court to testify. He, however, was apparently not allowed to do that since he was "high profile." Akademiks added that he had called Ye and asked if he was in New York, to which the rapper replied, saying that he was.
Diddy and 50 Cent's beef had gotten a space in the ongoing trial a few days back
Diddy and 50 Cent have been beefing for quite a long time now. The reference to the same had also been made in the ongoing trial last month. On May 27, former personal assistant and top executive Capricorn Clark took the stand to testify.
On that day, during the testimony, prosecutor Mitzi Steiner asked Clark if she had ever heard Diddy talk about guns while she was working for him. To this, Clark responded that she did, in fact, hear him discuss guns during one instance. According to her, it was the time after some MTV press conference that involved Cent as well.
Following the event, Combs reportedly spoke to Christy Light about his beef with Cent. In her testimony, Clark added:
"Puff told Chris, because they were having some sort of issue, like, 'I really don't like all the back and forth, I don't do that, I like guns.'"
When the prosecution asked Clark about the "issue" in this context, she mentioned that Diddy was apparently talking about something to do with Cent. This testimony led to an Instagram post by 50 Cent, in which he wrote a caption that read:
"Wait a minute PUFFY's got a gun, I can't believe this I don't feel safe 😔LOL."
Almost a month had already passed since the Diddy trial began. Some key witnesses, like Cassie Ventura and Jane, had testified in the federal trial as well. This ongoing trial is in connection with Combs' 2024 arrest, after which he was charged with s*x trafficking and racketeering. If convicted, he could face up to life in prison.
