In October 2023, Canadian rapper Drake purchased a 313-acre ranch in Brenham, Texas, the news of which has recently gone viral. The luxury property located only two hours south of Dallas was reportedly bought by Drake for $15 million.

Called the Inn at Dos Brisas, it was previously owned by Houston-based tech and investment magnate Doug Bosch and his wife Jennifer. The couple bought the ranch in 2000 as a family retreat which later became a resort in 2004.

In 2022, the Relais & Chateaux-branded property closed due to COVID-19-induced losses, and last year it was put on the market until it was purchased by Passionate Farms LLC, a Los Angeles-based entity whose mother company is Drake’s entertainment label DreamCrew.

Drake’s new Texas home has five haciendas and four casitas

According to Robb Report, Drake’s new residence Inn at Dos Brisas is situated between Austin and Houston, in the small Texas town of Brenham. It has a Mediterranean-style main house, alongside Spanish-style haciendas and casitas, five and four respectively, which are approximately 800 square feet to 1795 square feet, each.

They come with s a variety of opulent features including stone fireplaces, modular kitchens, luxury bath facilities, screened porches, and private plunge pools.

The Inn at Dos Brisas also has an equestrian center, a spacious bar-equipped indoor lounge, a fireside dining room, a 42-acre organic farm, an infinity pool, a spa, a greenhouse, a sports court, and a wine cellar with 7,000 bottles.

The previously secluded luxury resort which was once listed as one the 10 Best hotels in Texas by CultureMap Houston also has golf carts available for owners and guests to explore the grounds comprising of lush pecan trees, wildflowers, a rose garden, a couple of fishing ponds, and Peach Creek.

It also has a 60,000-square-foot indoor horseback riding area, which is reportedly one of the largest in the state.

As per Houston Chronicle, listing agent Tonya Currie of the Lifestyle Ranch & Home Group of Compass told Mansion Global in May 2023 that she had relisted Inn at Dos Brisas for $2.5 million of its buying price and it has grown “celebrity interest” in recent times. She also claimed to have had 27 showings in 2 months for the property.

Notably, the 37-year-old Drake told the Houston audience during his September 2023 It’s All a Blur Tour that he was looking forward to living in the state, but did not confirm his desired location. Around the same time, the Toronto native posted on social media a video of him roaming around a rural property and announcing in a Southern accent, “The sale is made.”

The Texas ranch, which was once listed as having the state’s sole Forbes Travel Guide-rated 5-star restaurant, is now part of Drake’s multi-million dollar real estate spread across Canada and the USA. He already owns a 50,000-square-foot mega-mansion in the affluent Bridle Path neighborhood in Toronto.

The So Far Gone hitmaker also has a Beverly Hills residence which he purchased in 2022 from singer-songwriter Robbie Williams but has currently relisted for $88 million.
