On June 11, 2025, doctor Junho Lee took to his official Instagram account to share a congratulatory post about BTS' Jungkook's military discharge. Notably, the Golden Maknae completed his mandatory service on the same day alongside fellow bandmate Park Jimin.

Meanwhile, the doctor stated on his post that the BTS member had always been sincere, polite, and kind to him. He also said that he felt like Jungkook was just a young man rather than a global BTS member. He further added:

"An amazing person with talent, character, and wit. I think he can only become a global star."

Doctor Junho Lee expressed his desire to meet BTS' Jungkook in New York

In the congratulatory military discharge post, doctor Junho Lee added that whenever he saw the Standing Next to You singer in the media, he wondered if he was the same person he met in real life. Subsequently, he said that now that Jungkook had returned to society, he wished to see his charm.

"Now that you're back in society, I hope you get to fully showcase all your charm and talent to people around the world, enjoy every moment and spread hope. I'll always be cheering you on," he said.

Doctor Junho Lee mentioned that since he was not in South Korea at the time, he wished to meet him in New York and added:

"I said this before in person, but since I'm not in Korea anymore, let's meet if we get a chance in New York."

Meanwhile, during the military discharge ceremony, BTS' Jungkook expressed his gratitude to his sunbae soldiers, peers, directors, and everyone who worked hard with them. He said, as translated by Instagram user @taetaebooo:

"Yes, and to the sunbae soldiers who came before us and the soldiers who remain and our peers who left just a little before us and also to the directors who worried- I mean, worked harder than anyone, who went through as we lived and worked together. I wanted to say thank you for taking good care of us."

Talking about further updates, the singer added:

"A lot of things happened, but we will organize our thoughts, and we will share them with you."

In recent news, both Jimin and Jungkook took to the South Korean social media platform, Weverse, where they started a live broadcast. During the broadcast, they expressed their gratitude to the ARMYs for waiting for them despite the Covid-19 period and the military duration. They also mentioned that they learned about various new things.
