Snoop Dogg recently gave an interview to Entertainment Tonight where he spoke up about the ongoing feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar. In the interview published on May 24, 2024, Snoop Dogg stated that he is not taking sides:

“Well, the only thing I want to say about that whole scenario is that I want to give both of them a shout-out for raising the bar as far as lyrics, as far as song-making and writing.”

He then exclaimed how their feud has raised the bar in raps and songs, as he reiterated that he is “not in the middle of it.” Snoop Dogg said:

"Those are my nephews. I'm not in the middle of it. I support both of them and that's personal business, not my business. As far as what they did for the industry and the rap game, they made you rap again. You can't mumble your way and gimmick your way to a song no more, buddy. So, thank y'all."

The feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake has been going on since 2010, but got fueled when Kendrick first released Like That in March, this year. Thereafter, Drake and Lamar released a number of diss tracks taking a dig at one another.

Details about Kendrick Lamar and Drake’s feud explored as Snoop Dogg gives a shout-out to the rappers

As Snoop Dogg mentioned about how the feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar has raised the bar for rap and songs, social media users are once again actively discussing the infamous rap war.

While the alleged fight between Drake and Lamar has been going on for the last decade, things intensified earlier this year, in March, prompting the two to release diss tracks targeting one another.

After Kenrick released Like That in March 2024 mentioning Drake and J. Cole’s name, Cole was quick to respond as he released a song days later, in April 2024, called Might Delete Later. Drake also followed and released a song in response to Like That, called Push Ups, where he rapped:

"Your last one bricked, you really not on sh*t/They make excuses for you ’cause they hate to see me lit.”

Thereafter, Kanye West also jumped in and decided to side with Kendrick Lamar, as he released an extended rap version for Like That. This prompted yet another diss track as Kendrick released Euphoria on April 30, 2024, which included the lines:

“This ain’t been ’bout critics, not about gimmicks, not about who the greatest/It’s always been about love and hate, now let me say I’m the biggest hater/ I hate the way that you walk, the way that you talk/ I hate the way that you dress/ I hate the way you sneak diss, if I catch flight, it’s gon’ be direct/We hate the b*tches you f*ck, ’cause they confuse themselves with real women.”

Meanwhile, social media users are now praising Snoop Dogg for his refreshing take on Kendrick Lamar and Drake’s alleged feud as he praised the two for their work in their recent songs.
